I am having to much fun photographing common things around the house – it makes me look at my environment in a new way. Like I had not really seen things before. I did know … cats are hard to photography… my little ari cat moves fast!

Next up is learning Dreamweaver 8 and getting geared up for BJDC 2010! lots to do lots todo

More experiments with the 50mm lens

I started experimenting with my new lens. I like shooting every day objects as well as taking photos of my dolls. These are a few of my favorites.

This is my favorite type of framing for a dolls face – I like closeups. I noticed I prefer the horizontal framing too.

What color am I?

I am the crystal clear green of a summer lake. The color changes in different shades moving and reflecting ever changing. Depths go deep and into darkness. Moving up through the light refracting shallows of brightness.

Camping Plans

We have a plan — everyone has a plan, right?? Our plan is to take the Casita out camping at least once a month.

For November’s trip, we went to South Shores on Lake Bastrop.

The Little Casita goes camping

Dan and I finally got to take the Casita out to try all her features out. We went to South Shores on Lake Bastrop which is only about 45 minutes from Austin. We had a BLAST. editing to include:Les is correct — that is morning mist rising up off the water.

it was in the upper 30’s, lower 40’s when we got up on Sunday morning … the birds in the pics are Coots.

The park is run by the Lower Colorado River Authority and is smaller than most state or national parks — it had 60 slots for camping… it was not full when we got there early Saturday morning but was full by the afternoon. We really liked all the trees and brush between each of the campsites. It gave each of the campsites a feeling of privacy.

The cat was comfortable and did not complain and the dog, Maxi was in seventh heaven! She really had a great time. Plenty of hikes, people and wildlife — what could be better??

Being LAZY!

Okay — I knew that sorting, editing and picking my Ren Fair pics from Opening weekend was going to be hard …that is why I kept putting it OFF! But I have finally done it — I decided to be VERY lazy!!
